1. Nada do que realmente vale a pena é fácil de se conseguir. Exceto aquelas coisas vitais e abundantes, tipo oxigênio. Agora, pessoas ou momentos que valem a pena? Esses sim são difíceis de se encontrar. Se você tiver os dois, saiba que é muito, muito sortudo.
2. Aquela história de “quando uma área da sua vida melhora, alguma outra tem que piorar”. É incrível: nunca tudo pode estar bem. Sempre tem que ter alguma parte da sua vida que vai andar mal. E, na maioria das vezes, o pior é que ainda é proporcional: quanto mais uma área melhora, mais uma outra vai piorar.
3. Ter que decidir por coisas realmentes importantes nunca é fácil. Especialmente quando a decisão envolve outras pessoas que são importantes para você. Pensar se você quer o suco com ou sem gelo não é difícil. Difícil é saber se você arrisca ou não por algo ou alguém que vale a pena.
4. Às vezes as pessoas não esperam você perceber que errou, que escolheu mal, que não deu o merecido valor. Às vezes o ônibus não espera, mesmo que você faça sinal, corra e ainda xingue o motorista. Às vezes não te dão tempo suficiente para você decidir, ou descobrir o que tem que fazer. E aí, amigo, boa sorte. Segundas chances são raríssimas.

Brooke: I’ve been really good. How have you been?
Gary: I’ve been good.

Gary: You look great

Gary: The hair’s a little different. Looks nice.
Brooke: Yeah? Oh, yeah… You’ve been lost some weight!
Gary: Well, it’s very deceiving, actually. I’ve managed to become thin without having any real muscle on me whatsoever. Very tough to accomplish, by the way. I’m proud of myself.
Brooke: Well, you look terrific.
Gary: Thanks… I heard your trip went really well.
Brooke: It did. It went really well.
Gary: Oh, good.
Brooke: It was fun, it was amazing, i saw so many amazing places. It was just… But, you know, you do realize how much you love home.
Gary: It’s good to have you back.
Brooke: Yeah. It’s good to be back… And the boat! Congratulations on the boat.
Gary: Thanks.
Brooke: I’m waiting for it to get warm, and i’m gonna come by and take a ride.
